I wake up every day feeling blessed to be able to serve my clients, employees and, of course, the dogs! I am proud to lead a great group of professionals that operate with a sense of purpose and a high level of customer service.
I started working with canines by volunteering at the Lancaster County Humane League while in college Fourteen years ago. During that time, I saw many great dogs bounce back from their forever homes and even worse, stood on the sidelines while some amazing dogs were euthanized because nobody wanted them. After some soul searching and influence from my wife, I began dog training. I am able to help owners thrive with their dogs and not turn to the shelter system as an option. Over time, my career path and shared vision for a “No Kill Nation” has lead me to specializing in puppy specific training.
To make a long story short, when my husband and I were on our first date, he asked me, “If you could do any job in the world what would it be?” Without hesitation, I responded, “dog-petter!” Although we laughed hysterically at that answer, Pat and I never took our eye off making a difference for dogs in a multitude of ways, including starting Champ’s Dog House.
We like to say that “I found his inner dog person,” and with his drive and vision, he helped ensure my dream job has come true. My main focus is to make sure that your dog is safe, happy, and joyfully fussed over! That was fourteen years ago and both of our passion for serving dogs and owners is just as strong. Our goal is to mentor and empower our dedicated team to deliver the level of care we would expect for our dogs.
